As some of you may know, my husband and I have our own photography business. Now don’t get any grand ideas that we are some famous, billionaire photographers to the stars. Rather we have built our business from the ground up, just the two of us! Our tag line is “Simple, yet elegant!” and we truly try to stick to that in our business. We don’t have hidden costs and fees, and we really try to cater to those who may not be able to afford the $8000 photographer who is physically present for about 2 hours. We try to provide a quality product for less.
With that being said, I’d like to offer some awesome ideas and poses for kids. We have two boys, so they are our stars in these photos! Most of the poses I have to offer here are very simple ones, using the materials that were around the house or in the area…in other words, we didn’t pay tons of money on props!!
The trick with getting those priceless pics are catching the child(ren) in their own element. Creating a space that stimulates them too much can result in a stressed out or scared child that is unwilling to do what you’re wanting. We always try to capture those amazing pictures in the child’s home, or having items such as blankets and stuffed toys readily available!
